The entire piece is carved to create a magical and one of a kind tiger themed rocking chair for the room of your dreams. The top upper sides are carved into tiger ears with a hint of Eastlake design style, in thickly carved raised sections. The back of the chair has a carved through design suggestive of eyes and whiskers in a relief pattern. The sixteen intricately lathed spindles rise up from the base of the chair supporting the arms, each of which ends in a carved paw design. The entire front, back and bottom are covered in one of a kind tiger oak, with the spindles, arms and base being solid oak with a similar hue and tone. The chair likely dates to the late 1800s to the early 1900s, during the Victorian era. The entire piece has recently been oiled, waxed and buffed and is ready to join your home for the first of many story times and countless years. less
