The vasiform baluster pedestal with birdcage sits atop a very graceful tripod base with each leg terminating in a slender ball and claw foot. An especially robust forged iron spider is fitted beneath. Each downswept cabriole leg has fine meandering acanthus springing from a large rosette and decorative lappets marking the transition to the baluster.
