It was produced by Te Neues Publishing Co in 1989 in Germany with rights licensed by the Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts and bears the AW seal. Contained in the color sleeve are a chronology page and prints of the African elephant, Grévy’s zebra, bighorn ram, Black Rhinoceros, Pine Barrens tree frog, and Siberian tiger rendered in Warhol’s signature vibrant palette. Warhol—a longtime animal lover created the portfolio on commission from Ron and Frayda Feldman, art dealers and environmental activists. Each reproduction offset lithograph print is printed on high quality paper stock measuring 12 by 16 inches. Currently out of print and rare to find in this complete set. The set is in excellent vintage condition. The prints have never been framed. The portfolio is still in the original protective plastic sleeve. less
